The experimental work will often require the manipulation of samples in ultrahigh vacuum and airfree conditions. The Senior Staff Chemist will design and execute experiments to investigate the chemical changes induced by extremeultraviolet (EUV) radiation as well as the impact of subsequent postexposure processing conditions on Inpria resist materials. The senior staff chemist will also oversee the data processing and interpretation. The learnings from the investigations will be used to keep the steady development of Inpria resist to meet the strict requirements for fabricating future manufacturing nodes.

  • Responsible for the Xray photoelectron spectrometer: maintaining the tool in operational conditions detecting potential upgrades to optimize workflows and training or assisting other users in the use of the spectrometer.
  • Coowning specialized photoresist processing equipment: assisting in keeping the tool in operational conditions and assisting in the creation of standardized workflows.
  • Designing and executing experiments comprising EUV exposure of thin films and XPS analysis (and/or other characterization techniques) to answer specific questions related to the optimization of resist materials
  • Scheduling experiments to meet deadlines and the progress cadence proposed by the team leader.
  • Identifying pitfalls and limitations of the experimental procedures and informing management of them.
  • Processing spectra analyzing data deriving conclusions and reporting the learnings in team meetings and department meetings.
