An integral part of the FAS strategy and future success is to become more than just a lowprice passive equity asset manager moving to a Beyond Beta to become an indispensable partner to advisors by delivering more Vanguard resources and capabilities to help them drive better client and business outcomes. Model portfolios are a critical part of the FAS multiline strategy as models provide advisors high quality portfolios across both equity and fixed income backed by Vanguards bestinclass portfolio construction research and underlying products. Success for the models business is not just the adoption of our turnkey models by home offices and advisors but also providing thought leadership and specialists to influence the creation of home office and advisor directed models even where Vanguard is not the strategist. The FAS models offer currently has $40B in assets under management with a growing distribution ecosystem and footprint.
