Our Opportunity
As Senior Director Snyk Open Source Engineering at Snyk you will drive of the product strategy for Snyk Open Source our >$100m ARR Software Composition Analysis product. You will build and run a worldclass engineering team which solves technically challenging problems in dependency analysis security intelligence and remediation leading the team to innovate strongly deliver predictably and delight Snyks customers.
Youll be a technical leader that thrives on the details of building delightful developer tools and highvolume production systems whilst at the same time being able to lead and grow your team at scale. Youll be equally happy explaining our roadmap to customers making tradeoffs to deliver the right outcomes for our business and helping to solve technical issues directly.
Youll Spend Your Time:
- Build long term strategy for Snyk Open Source that delivers on business priorities and drive its in collaboration with crossfunctional partners and peers.
- Own the Snyk Open Source product as a business optimizing for and trading off the competing requirements of innovation support cost reliability and performance to maximize benefit for that business longterm.
- Create and execute on organizational strategy which proactively identifies requirements for senior talent and grow or hire to fill gaps as required.
- Lead cross team collaboration across Snyk to quickly resolve issues and risks and unblock progress.
- Establish clear success criteria for direct reports and the group monitoring and coursecorrecting as required.
- Build a highperforming engaged worldclass team that can deliver on the technical challenge of program analysis in the security domain.
- Serve as role model mentor and advisor to Snyks most senior engineering talent
What Youll Need:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles in software engineering.
- Experience in an executive/director level role
- Proven track record of successfully leading software engineering organizations of 50100 in a product context.
- Expertise in building developer tools and/or subject matter expertise in software build tools or language ecosystems.
- Proficiency in software development system architecture and operational practices.
- Proficient with team tech stack and advanced system design.
- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with senior technical and managerial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities to support technical decisions with datadriven metrics.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop emerging technical talent.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
