Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist Community General Adult (NHS) Greater Manchester
Salary:per annum (NHS Consultant Pay Scale)
Contract Type: Permanent Fulltime
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) delivering specialist care for adults aged 1865 with complex mental health conditions. The service provides outpatient psychiatric care crisis intervention and rehabilitation across the Greater Manchester region.
Key Responsibilities:
As a psychiatrist you will provide comprehensive outpatient assessments reviewing medication efficacy and psychotherapy options while managing a caseload of patients with schizophrenia bipolar disorder depression and personality disorders. You will offer consultation and clinical oversight to CPNs therapists and social workers within the multidisciplinary team develop risk management plans and support crisis intervention strategies. Additionally you will supervise junior doctors trainees and multidisciplinary staff engage in mental health law proceedings including tribunals and CTO reviews and contribute to service innovation clinical audits and teaching programs.
