Our Development Management Service is crucial in shaping Wiltshires future by determining planning applications for new developments. While some decisions involve subjective judgment we adhere strictly to legal and procedural guidelines to ensure compliance with legislation and policy. Our service supports the councils business plan by fostering new development driving economic growth and promoting environmental protection and sustainability.
These roles are structured so that employees can progress as they gain more education and experience.
Level 2 Planning Officerper annum)
Youll have a significant say in planning projects working with communities and stakeholders to create meaningful new developments. Youll assess different planning applications and appeals playing a key role in shaping Wiltshires landscape. Youll handle various planning waste and listed building applications showing you can work well with little supervision. Role description and person specification
Level 1 Planning Officerper annum) youll begin your career in planning by focusing on simpler planning applications. Youll also help senior colleagues with bigger projects. Youll make recommendations on straightforward planning applications and inquiries while learning from experienced professionals. Youll help the team succeed while improving your skills.
