Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Social and Branded Content office is looking for a Social and Branded Content Manager to join the team. This individual will be responsible for delivering GO Transit and UP Express brands web and CRM marketing content strategy and production and creating integrated web and CRM branded content plans aligned with organizational objectives & key success factors for all Metrolinx Brands.
What will I be doing
- Leads and optimization of marketing content activities.
- Manages daytoday activities associated with the of marketing content strategy (e.g. vendor management project and campaign management creative direction crossdivisional implementation) by identifying opportunities and liaising with crossfunctional teams to ensure an effective brand and social and branded content mix (i.e. by brand channel and media type).
- Creates and implements core strategic plans and projects including preparing and leading business cases through its full cycle.
- Drive web and CRM content engagement via leading development of web and CRM content.
- Develops understands and aligns marketing content application of brand architecture including brand promise value proposition tone of voice and visual identity guidelines.
- Uses evidencebased analysis to drive the planning development production and of content marketing plans and activities.
- Day to day operational management of advertising and media agencies and suppliers to ensure projects are on track and on budget including providing briefs to vendors reviewing quality of work handling budget discrepancies resolving issues and providing solutions.
- Monitor marketing content performance through regular KPI reporting sharing key results to senior management and responsible for content optimizations.
- Champions and supports our work in diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) to tangibly make a difference in outreach and allyship to equityseeking groups within the communities we serve.
- Participates in regular corporate and departmental operational business planning and partner or other department meetings and contributes to the development of business goals by representing the Social and Branded Content team at corporate meetings and proposing resolutions to marketing challenges.
- Builds relationships with senior management staff crossdivisionally; presents ideas gains cooperation and buyin facilitates discussions provides recommendations and assist in finalizing social and branded content materials and resolves issues.
- Monitors current trends in social and branded content and makes recommendations to optimize marketing efforts customer experience new product innovation or innovative media approaches.
- Leverage social and branded content analytics data and initiate research to identify target markets and access consumer perception competition business trends and product value.
- Partners with innovation team to develop compelling new product and service concepts business cases and associated go to market strategies.
- Leads planning of content elements of experiential marketing events that include customer engagement branded content promotions product and pricing strategies.
- Liaises with Marketing Division team members to provide go to market plans and materials and ensure that internal information on Social and Branded Content activities are up to date.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a degree in marketing commerce management or a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience/training in senior progressive marketing project management or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of social and branded content planning and which includes experience introducing and growing new brands including SEO
- Project and time management skills to coordinate projects under pressure to meet schedule and budget commitments.
- Budgeting skills and experience to develop and manage budgets within budgetary limitations.
- Highly effective leadership negotiation and relationship management skills to coordinate to liaise with senior management and vendors/agencies. Ability to understand use and communicate specialized information.
- Independent thinking and the ability to work autonomously to undertake proactive communications activities in support of major projects.
- Analytical ability oral/written communication competencies and negotiation skills to write key messages news releases print materials and create presentations speaking notes submissions and correspondence.
- Strong problemsolving orientation using initiative to foresee issues and providing recommendations based on appropriate research analysis judgment and consultation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills ability to present effectively to senior management.
- Understanding of marketing automation and social and digital best practices.
