Job Description

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

REPORTS TO: General Counsel

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Contract Administrator

TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0 10

WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift

SALARY RANGE:$80K $100K (based on experience)

POSITION SUMMARY

This individual will oversee the entire contract lifecycle from drafting and negotiation to and compliance ensuring contracts align with company goals and legal requirements while also managing risks and resolving disputes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Interface with other departments on a regular basis regarding contract subcontract and purchasing matters.
  • Review revise and negotiate contracts purchase order terms and conditions nondisclosure agreements other forms of contract and general language and provisions.
  • Perform administrative and operational research to support proposal and contract development.
  • Review and evaluate requests for proposal and all included documentation to assist in identifying potential risk and compliance issues.
  • Resource insurance specialists surety Legal Safety Estimating Operations and other departments to assist in assuring compliance with customer and Miron requirements.
  • Conduct contract strategy meetings with internal customers to identify issues and project requirements and obtain executive management and General Counsel input on contract language organizational needs and expectations.
  • Serve as primary facilitator and administrative contact during subcontract and supplier contract negotiations.
  • Provide collaboration and input on subcontract and vendor standards policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the subcontract supply agreement and insurance requirements and certificate processes.
  • Work with Project Management department to monitor subcontractor performance and draft notices to ensure preservation of legal rights and the quality and efficiency of subcontractor and supplier work.
  • Assist in implementation of new contract lifecycle management software; maintain and monitor contract repository.
  • Supervise Mirons Contract Administrator.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management Business Economics Accounting Mathematics a Law Degree or experience working as a Paralegal.
  • 5 years contract or subcontract negotiating and management experience preferably supporting construction projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contractual legal issues provisions and applications including a basic understanding of related insurance matters.
  • Strong contract development and negotiation skills including the development and implementation of risk mitigation standards and measures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and work ethic; and
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated proficiency in understanding summarizing and explaining complex issues.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily an office environment with frequent visits to construction sites.
