We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon / Orthopedist to join our medical practice full time in Camp Springs MD. Ideally we are looking for a boardcertified orthopaedic surgeon or nonsurgical orthopedist trained in general orthopedics to join a vertically integrated musculoskeletal practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients injured in motor vehicle accidents and workrelated injuries. Additional specialties within the practice include neurology physical medicine and rehabilitation internal medicine primary care and chiropractic/physical therapy. In house services include physical therapy and chiropractic (including aquatic therapy with landbased strengthening work conditioning and work hardening vestibular and cognitive therapy and Functional Capacity Evaluations) electrodiagnostic interventional pain management and xrays. The paramount component of the administrative portion of the job duties is providing timely and accurate documentation/reports of the patient visits. Surgical services to our patients can be provided at local outpatient surgery centers or hospitals. We will consider an operative and nonoperative Orthopedist. We have multiple locations where the Orthopedist will provide coverage including our offices in southern Maryland including Camp Springs Waldorf and Hyattsville as well as our office in Alexandria VA.

Job Duties:

  • Quality Patient care and management
  • Recommend tests and conducts diagnostic testing to determine extent of injury and to determine appropriate treatment.
  • Oversee the patients diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries.
  • Prepare patients for return to work after illness or injury.
  • Perform surgery when medically necessary (if an Operative Orthopedic Surgeon)
  • We treat a high number of personal injury patients who have been injured on the job or due to the negligence of another and therefore the timeliness and accuracy of documentation and reports are paramount.
  • Occasionally expert testimony on behalf of the patients treated may be necessary in the case of litigation
  • Collaboration with colleagues and staff for comprehensive patient care
  • Uphold the companys mission to provide exceptional patient care and leads in a way that aligns with the companys goals

Requirements:
  • MD/DO from an accredited educational institution
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of VA and MD
  • Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (general orthopedic surgeon)
  • Favorable malpractice history
  • Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • DEA license

Schedule:
  • Full time
