About the role:
The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne has a rare opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join us to work in our Surgery and Oral Medicine Department.
This is a great opportunity to gain skills in Surgery and Oral Medicine Care and to workand learn from other highly experienced Dental Assistants and Coaches with the support of ouramazing Team Leader in Surgery and Oral Medicine.
You will get to work within a diverse organisation and we recognise that our Dental Assistants are critical to the delivery of highquality efficient and effective clinical care.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Clinical Chairside assisting with a Dentist or Specialiston the ward.
- Providing oral health education and promotion to our patients.
- Preparing maintaining and managing the clinical environment including equipment materials and instruments in line with the treatment plan to enhance efficient patient care.
About you:
- 12 months of experience working chairside assisting.
- Experience as a Dental Assistant (Surgery and Theatre preferred)
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or Certificate in Dental Nursing (Please note: Overseas trained dentists must have a qualification in Dental Assisting from an Australian RTO).
- Welldeveloped communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
