What youll do at OhioMHAS:
In this role you will take the lead on providing legal support for agency procurement capital projects public records regulatory compliance and/or litigation management. You will also provide advice and risk management to Department staff on a wide range of matters including patient/client privacy statutory interpretation ethics health care compliance and internal policy review/implementation. As a legal advisor you will work closely with staff across of the agency and liaison with external stakeholders federal state and local partners and constituents.
Key Responsibilities:
This is anhourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units with a pay range of 15on theE1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (Flexible Schedule).
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code the selected candidate will begin atStep 1 of the pay range schedule listed above with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
This position is unclassified per 124.11 (A) 9 Ohio Revised Code.

Position Qualifications
Admission to Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of Revised Code; 18 mos. exp. as licensed attorney; 6 mos. exp. In supervisory principles/techniques.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT:
Completion of 24 credit hours of continuing legal education from accredited programs for applicable twoyear reporting period pursuant to Rule X of Rules of Government of Bar of Ohio. Current certificate of registration pursuant to Rule VII of Rules of Government of Bar of Ohio.
