Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages projects through the entire project life cycle of Initiation Planning Monitoring & Control and Close Out.
  • Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope schedule and budget.
  • Leads cross functional AECC teams to ensure projects are delivered as required.
  • Performs quality control on projects developing risk mitigation plans and implementing other corrective/preventive measures as required.
  • Develops and manages detailed project schedules and budgets and facilitates effective project status meetings.
  • Communicates with stakeholders to keep projects aligned with stated goals.
  • Leads AECC Project Management program continuous improvement efforts as required.
  • Participates in the development of equipment supply and construction contracts as required. Manages contracts to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables required to complete projects
  • Assists in development of project safety plans and participates in monitoring and enforcement of the plans for assigned projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous reliable electric service to our customers the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in such fields as Engineering Project Management Construction Management or other technical field related project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Consideration given for a technical field with a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

Project Manager I 3 Years of related project management experience

Project Manager II 5 Years of related project management experience

Project Manager III 7 Years of related project management experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or ability to obtain within 1 year or Project Management Certification (PMP) or ability to obtain within 1 year

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

Project Management Certification (PMP)

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Periodically exposed to such elements as noise intermittent standing walking occasionally pushing carrying or lifting; but none are present to the extent of being disagreeable.
