Position Description: The Department of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks a Neuromuscular Medicine specialist for a faculty position at the Assistant to Associate Professor level to further their career in its Neuromuscular and Autonomic Disorders Program (NMADP). The Department of Neurology is the largest and most comprehensive neurology academic group in Wisconsin with a faculty exceeding 75 including more than 60 adult neurologists and neuropsychologists. More than a dozen child neurology faculty practice at the adjacent childrens hospital and there is a nearby affiliated VA Hospital. The NMADP is over 30 years old and is one of the oldest continuous programs in the department. The NMADP comprises 6 adult and one child neurology faculty plus 3 APPs. The adult NMADP faculty see a wide range of local and regional patient referrals in a new outpatient clinic including new autonomic and clinical neurophysiology laboratories. Neurology has a robust educational program of 27 adult neurology residents 6 child neurology residents in addition to 10 fellowships. Faculty also do basic and clinical research with an aggregate budget of more than $5M dollars. The Neurology Department is a primary partner in MCWs newly initiated and funded Neuroscience Institute.
