Claims Consultant

This is a fulltime hybrid position of 35 hours per week offering the flexibility of remote work combined with the benefits of inoffice collaboration. The role is for a fixedterm period of 12 months giving you the opportunity to bring your expertise to a supportive and thriving environment.

What youll be doing:

• Validating and determining eligibility of Group Protection claims against policy terms and conditions
• Requesting medical evidence on new and existing Group Protection claims to judge what medical evidence to obtain in line with Legal & Generals philosophies or in line with specified instructions
• Calculating benefits to be paid in the event of an eligible claim
• Requesting and gathering outstanding claim requirements from internal and external customers in a timely manner
• Developing and building strong relationships with IFAs and Policyholders (employers) to deliver positive customer outcomes
• Supporting our programme of continuous improvements by contributing ideas and engaging with projects
• Ensuring a consistent timely and accurate level of service is maintained in line with service level agreements. Ensuring we meet customers expectations in line with  Legal & Generals Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly policies
• Adhering to processes and systems to ensure that all customer data is dealt with appropriately in accordance with legislation in particular GDPR the Access to Medical Reports Act 1988 and Legal & Generals Confidentiality policy

Qualifications :

Who were looking for:

• IT skills Word Excel and other Microsoft products
• GSCE English and Maths minimum
• Customer service and/or admin experience within Insurance or Financial Services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload to meet targets and deadlines
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Good problem solving and investigative skills
