ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Engagement team raises vital annual support through ticket sales memberships annual giving and catering sales and serves as the hospitality team across the museum. The Revenue & Planning team under the Engagement umbrella leads the development of datadriven multichannel revenue strategies across all segments of Engagement (Special Events Programming Retail Dining and Visitor Engagement) and directly manages Membership and Luminary (leadership giving) revenue and operations. The revenue directly and indirectly raised equates to $27 million annually.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Manager Engagement Revenue supports the business operations and general administration of auxiliary revenue channels primarily in retail catering and dining. The role allocates its time approximately as follows:
- 25 Special Events business support
- 25 Retail business support
- 25 Dining business support
- 25 General Engagement support
Key responsibilities include analytics reporting budget oversight and operational support
RESPONSIBILITIES
Special Events Business Support 25
- Develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reporting
- Prepare and review monthend and yearend reports as needed
- Monitor revenue throughout the year
- Provide analytical insights and research to inform decisions
- Support eventsrelated special projects
Retail Business Support 25
- Coordinate with the Manager of Retail Operations to update and maintain inventory databases (ChainDrive or similar) for accuracy and control of SKUs and inventory changes
- Approve inventory adjustments and transfers resulting from product receiving corrections price changes supply usage damaged inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Prepare and review monthend and yearend reports
- Assist the Director Engagement Revenue and Executive Director Retail with annual revenue projections and ongoing revenue monitoring
- Provide analytical insights conduct research and create reports to support retail initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Manager Inventory Management to conduct annual physical inventories and ensure adherence to cycle counting schedules
- Participate in regular cycle counts with the onsite team
Dining Business Support 25
- Partner with onsite dining teams to ensure proper inventory and procedural standards align with the museums dining strategy.
- Provide support for catering and dining contracts.
- Prepare and review monthend and yearend reports as needed.
- Monitor P&L statements and budgets throughout the year.
- Offer analytical insights and research as required.
- Contribute to diningrelated special projects.
General Engagement Support 25
- Work alongside the Assistant Director Engagement Revenue to deliver analytical insights and research.
- Support the Director Engagement Revenue with budget management forecasting and projections.
- Provide administrative support to the department including the annual budgeting process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work at a computer
- Ability to move about the museum observe and communicate with groups and individuals
- Ability to lead and participate in meetings onsite and virtually
- Ability to make presentations in person and virtually
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 year experience with Tableau Microsoft BI or similar data visualization software required.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree or industry specific training or certification highly desired.
- Minimum 13 years experience with inventory management and reporting high volume data reporting cost analysis revenue management and analyzing KPIs required. Experience with these activities in a hospitality industry strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail and accuracy via high volume reporting and metrics required
- Current SQL coding experience highly desired or a willingness and ability to learn.
- Must demonstrate strong communication writing and editing skills.
- Experience working cross departmentally to support internal clients and translating technical solutions.
