Job Description

Location:Blacksburg Middle School
Pay: Supplemental
ESSENTIAL AND IMPORTANT DUTIES:
- Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents
- Teach volleyball techniques playing rules strategies and playing tactics
- Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance strength and agility
- Preside over team activities including all scheduled team practices and games
- Teach sportsmanship cooperation work ethic and responsibility to ones team
- Monitor players personal conduct during games
- Manage equipment and playing facilities in a responsible manner
- Performs related duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work well with children of various ages;extensive knowledge of volleyball; Willingness to learn and adhere to the rules and regulations governed by the SCHSL; willingness to learn and follow District rules and guidelines; prior coaching experience is required.
Education/Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills to teach and coach volleyball.
Working Conditions:
On a continuous basis work indoors; intermittently travel to various offsite locations; may be exposed to dust noise hard surfaces and may be exposed to varying temperature conditions while performing work.
