Ochsner HealthDepartment of UrologyThe Ochsner Department of Urology and the Ochsner Childrens Hospital in New Orleans is seeking a Section Head of Pediatric Urology as well as junior faculty to join our U.S. News & World Report ranked #1 Childrens Hospital in Louisiana.
New members of our department will be joining three other pediatric urologists who are part of a highfunctioning rapidly growing tertiary/quaternary Pediatrics Program and Childrens Hospital. They would be joining a large Urology department with 31 employed Urologists and 12 APPs.
Our comprehensive Pediatrics Program including primary care pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Childrens) represents over 230 physicians. The group is the regions leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns infants children adolescents and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation liver and bone marrow transplantation a comprehensive surgical subspecialty group and the regions only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental center.
We recently announced the building of a new separate comprehensive dedicated Childrens Hospital on our main campus with expected opening in 2027.
We currently care for patients in an expanding 54bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit a 14bed PICU a 12bed pediatric CVICU and a 44bed pediatric acute unit with a dedicated pediatric emergency room and fulltime regionwide inhouse pediatric and neonatal transport teams.
In addition to patient care our faculty are involved in teaching residents in the Ochsner Urology residency program as well as medical students from the University of Queensland. Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint College of Medicine.
