Job Description

Job Summary:
North Florida Surgeons Orthopaedic Associates a leading healthcare provider in Fort Walton Beach Florida is seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services rendered. This is a fulltime position that offers competitive wages and benefits.

Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively and efficiently with the North Florida Surgeons billing team
Ensure accuracy and timely submission of claims for services rendered
Monitor and track reimbursement trends and identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete documentation for coding and billing purposes
Train and educate staff on coding and billing guidelines and procedures
Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve any billing and reimbursement issues
Stay updated on coding and billing changes and provide insightful recommendations for process improvements

Requirements:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
Indepth knowledge of coding systems and guidelines (ICD10 CPT HCPCS)
Familiarity with insurance billing and reimbursement processes
Advanced computer skills and experience with electronic health records and billing systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities
