Job Description
- Collaborate with team members and others to produce IT Infrastructure designs & solutions within project schedule and budget constraints.
- Ensure the digital scope and systems comply with policies standards guidelines and current best practices.
- Be an advocate and a champion for a digital enabling IT Infrastructure.
- Collaborate on the development of cost estimates for the IT Infrastructure scope of the projects.
- Collaborate on building the schedule of activities for the IT Infrastructure scope of the projects.
- Provide updates in weekly status meetings.
- Collaborate on the writeup of project phase documentation deliverables (e.g. Basis of Design).
- Collaborate on the development of systems life cycle documentation.
- Stay on top of and support construction activities with interdependencies to IT Infrastructure scope including walkdowns during construction and sign off on the physical IT Infrastructure installation compliance with company standards.
- Manage purchased hardware inventory.
- Collaborate on the identification configuration and installation of shop floor hardware solutions.
- Collaborate with partners on the audio visual and security scope of the project.
Requirements
Knowledge and/or experience in most of the following is required:
- Extensive team work experience.
- Physical implementation of IT Infrastructure elements (network hardware server hardware computer and telecom rooms network cabling etc..
- Logical networking.
- Virtualized computing infrastructure.
Knowledge and/or experience in some of the following would be an asset:
- Leading project teams.
- Technical project management.
- Manufacturing facility construction.
- Process automation infrastructure.
Skills
The following skills are required:
- Strong planning prioritization & organization skills.
- Good leadership interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build strong network of colleagues and partners.
- Proficient in technical writing.
- Fluent verbal & written English.
The following skills would be an asset:
- Project Management.
- Cost estimating and scheduling.
Work model is hybrid 2 or 3 days home office.
