Job Description
Xavier University located in Cincinnati Ohio is accepting applications for Adjunct Instructors in the Exercise Science Program EXSC 100: Intro to Exercise Science Course 3 credits). This position includes teaching one inperson lecture course in Fall 2025 on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. The course will be scheduled from 10:0010:50 AM 11:0011:50 AM or another time based on availability.
Contracts for adjunct faculty members are issued on a semester basis.
Minimum Qualifications:Minimum qualifications to teach this lecture course includes a masters or terminal degree or have taken 18 credit hours of graduate work in the following fields: Exercise Science Kinesiology Exercise Physiology Biomechanics Nutrition Athletic Training Sports Medicine or Motor Behavior; or have a minimum of 5 years of experience in exercise science and a relevant certification in the field of exercise science and/or previous teaching experience at an accredited college or university.
Duties include:
- Deliver learningcentered instruction by establishing a classroom/laboratory environment conducive to learning and student involvement as well as effectively planning and preparing for classes and student success.
- Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons including an appropriate course syllabus clearly describing course expectations.
- Provide appropriate course assessments designed to adequately assess students learning in connection with Xaviers Core Curriculum.
- Use Xaviers campuswide academic program Canvas to provide course information and an electronic record of students progress on a regular basis.
