The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for CTE Vocational teaching positions that may become available within our division for theschool year.

Please note this is a continuous recruit posting to build an applicant pool for all schools. As positions become available all qualified applicants with complete application files will be considered. Should a specific location/job be posted you may also be required to apply to that posting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License with appropriate endorsement to teach CTE PreK12
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
  • Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
  • Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
  • Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes collaboration and managing coursework
  • Create and maintain an inclusive supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
  • Communicate effectively with strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
  • Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Demonstrate dependability punctuality and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a masters degree in Education

Salary: Teachers salary scale with benefits (commensurate with experience)

FLSA: Exempt
