About the Role:
Our Private Business Tax team is expanding and were looking for Senior Associates Managers and Senior Managers to join our vast community of solvers. The Private Business Tax team brings our purpose to life by specializing in providing comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services to privatelyowned businesses including family enterprises partnerships and privatelyheld companies. Our expertise spans a wide range of taxrelated areas such as tax planning and strategy succession planning mergers and acquisitions and reorganization. We work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and objectives ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements while optimizing their tax positions.
Privatelyowned businesses and wealthy individuals commonly seek to invest in property and infrastructure development with the property sector currently accounting for nearly a quarter of Australias GDP. This role will include working with some of the largest property developers in the country providing you with the opportunity to engage deeply with highprofile clients and make a significant impact in the sector and wider community.
As a Manager youll oversee multiple client engagements ensuring the delivery of highquality tax advisory and compliance services. Youll work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and provide strategic tax advice. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively are essential.
Youll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of private business clients understanding their unique tax needs and providing tailored advice.
Ensure clients meet their tax obligations by preparing and reviewing tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
Advise clients on taxefficient strategies to optimize their tax positions including succession planning mergers and acquisitions and reorganization.
Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations conducting indepth research to provide clients with informed guidance.
Mentor and support junior staff fostering a collaborative and highperformance team environment.
Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them protecting clients interests.
Provide updates to clients on taxrelated issues helping them stay informed about changes in tax legislation
Advise high net wealth individuals/families businesses and their owners on tax technical topics such as revenue/capital distinction structuring of financing arrangements Division 7A and trusts;
Provide tax compliance tax planning and tax advisory services for large client groups with multiple types of entities including trusts companies partnership and individuals;
In our Private Business Tax team your impact will be seen by:
Driving client growth by delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities for additional services and solutions.
Innovate and streamline tax processes within the team enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
Work closely with other departments (e.g. audit advisory) to provide holistic solutions to clients.
Help expand the firms market presence by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Continuously develop your expertise and credentials contributing to the firms reputation for excellence.
