Job Title: Marketing & Event Coordinator Exemption Status: Exempt
Department/Location: St. Augustine Catholic High School Tucson Arizona
Primary Function: Under the direction of the School President is responsible for assisting with the marketing strategy and planning successful events for St. Augustine Catholic High School from start to finish. The Employee shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received. (Eph. 4:1
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs in support of the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Shall abide by Catholic principles in the employees professional and public life and shall govern his/her professional and public life in accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate adherence to Catholic moral strictures.
- Coordinates various internal special events receptions convocations and business meetings to include organizing resources tours meetings and event processes. Understand the complex needs of different events.
- Creates marketing materials for the school.
- Promotes the school at various events and at different feeder schools
- Help maintain content on school website
- Maintain accurate and up to date contact listings records and files for all events.
- Develop a network of event vendors that make planning each event a simple process.
- Coordinate with vendors exhibitors subcontractors and governmental entities during event planning and through event .
- Manage event set up tear down and follow up to include organizational tools productional timelines contact lists and onsite delivery schedules. Track event key performance area and identify items to work on for future events.
- Managing and overseeing events on the day of including problemsolving directing event setup and organizing vendors.
- Manages collateral production for printed materials brochures and other marketing pieces.
- Attend community functions to network and identify potential opportunities.
- Identify potential opportunities at the local level and create campaigns to capitalize on those opportunities.
- Understanding of commercial kitchen operations and catering methodologies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical/Mental Requirements: Requires coordination and manual dexterity normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift in a normal office environment
Required Activities: Walking; sitting; standing; kneeling; stooping; reaching; talking; handling; hearing; carrying; and keyboarding
Basic Qualifications: - A working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of fostering lay leadership in the Catholic Church; must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church
- Excellent communications skills including written verbal public speaking and presentation skills
- Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a selfstarter and be wellorganized; must be a team player; strong leadership skills
- Excellent time management skill and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously required
- The ability to work under strict deadlines
- Proficiency in the use of computer technology including word processing and the use of spreadsheets databases and related technology; ability to maintain confidentiality
- Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners
- Experience coordinating largescale events
- Proven track record of identifying and maximizing event opportunities
- Be available for evening and weekend work as necessary; have reliable transportation
- The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check
- Professional bearing and clean and neat personal appearance
Education and Experience: - Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management Marketing or related field
- Successfully worked on events for minimum of 35 years
Other/Preferred Skills: - Experience in event management
- Bilingual
