Job Description

  • Responsible for supporting transactional work of Seattle Childrens and its affiliated organizations including as lead counsel on appropriate matters.

  • This position provides legal advice and support on a broad range of transactional matters including joint ventures strategic affiliations professional services agreements physician arrangements financings and other healthcarerelated business transactions.

  • Negotiates reviews and drafts contracts and other transactional documents and prepares written opinions and guidance to meet organizational business imperatives in a variety of operational areas within applicable legal requirements.

  • Maintains current knowledge of legal developments related to transactions and healthcare regulatory requirements and advises management of impact and compliance strategies.

  • Provides complex legal advice consultation and policy analysis and interpretation in numerous areas of law and policy.

  • Functions at a level of skill knowledge and judgment that permits independent action subject to oversight by the Deputy General Counsel.

Performs role both remotely and onsite based on department needs.

This is a hybrid remote position and must be based in Washington state.

Required Education and Experience

  • JD from ABA accredited law school.

  • Demonstrated experience in legal and regulatory framework governing hospital/health care operations.

  • Minimum seven 7 years of relevant health care legal experience in corporate public or private law firm setting.


Required Credentials

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Washington.

  • JD from ABA accredited law school.


Preferred

  • Prior law firm or inhouse experience advising a complex health care services organization or system or academic medical center.

Compensation Range

$202917.00 $304375.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on fulltime employment 2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.

This compensation range is specific to Seattle positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors.
