The Installation Technician reports to the Installation Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVAC installation jobs for residential and on occasion light commercial customers.
We are seeking an experienced installer with the following proven experience:

- Ability to install Heat Pump and Air Conditioning condensers with minimal assistance needed (e.g. you can pump down refrigerant and extend/install refrigeration lines you can braze and you can make electrical connections from the disconnect to the equipment)
- Setting level equipment pads and pumpups (outside)
- Startup and commissioning new equipment troubleshooting and calibrating
- Ability to install furnaces air handlers as well as dual fuel setups
- Experience with ductless mini splits (i.e. Mitsubishi equipment) is a plus
- Must have insurable drivers license EPA certification and proven install experience.

Representative duties include:
- Serving as a member of the Installation Department team which is organized to conduct HVAC installation jobs in an efficient and timely manner.
- Performing routine HVAC installation activities without direct oversight or onsite assistance.
- Assisting Senior Installation Technicians in training of new Daves Heating and Air Conditioning Sterling VA employees on installation related subjects including callback prevention and installation protocols.
- Conducting pointofwork sales of Indoor Air Quality services unit components unit replacements addon units and referrals for the Daves Heating and Air Conditioning Sterling VA sales staff.
- Conducting noninstallation work in support of the IAQ and Service Departments as assigned.
- Performing related duties as directed by the Installation Manager.
Job Qualifications:
- High school graduate and graduate of a postsecondary HVAC program of instruction of two or more years in duration.
- Three or more years of successful and fulltime HVAC experience either as a service or installation technician.
- Good oral and reading skills including the ability to read and apply manufacturers installation instructions and clearly communicate with residential commercial and industrial customers suppliers and other Daves Heating and Air Conditioning Sterling VA employees.
- Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions circumstances and extreme weather conditions existent in Virginia.
- Interest and initiative in maintaining his/her HVAC skills through a combination of selfstudy company training manufacturers workshops and other professional development activities.
- Interest and initiative in getting trained to develop pointofservice sales techniques including developing sales leads and conducting sales of unit replacements addon units IAQ services and service contracts.
- Current Virginia operators license and the ability to operate all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment. Incumbent must be insurable by current Daves Heating and Air Conditioning Sterling VA insurance carrier.
- Ability to work efficiently given time pressures nonstandard schedule extreme weather conditions varying customer needs and demands and backlog constraints.
Compensation: $79000.00 per year
