The Technical Assistant to the General Manager plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support to the General Manager in a dynamic and fastpaced engineering environment. This position requires a strong engineering background excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. The Technical Assistant will collaborate closely with the General Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the executive office.
Responsibilities:
1. Executive Support:
Provide highlevel administrative support to the General Manager including managing schedules arranging appointments and handling confidential information.
Prepare and edit correspondence reports and presentations for the General Manager.
2. Project Coordination:
Assist in coordinating and monitoring key engineering projects ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather project updates and compile progress reports for the General Manager.
3. Communication and Liaison:
Act as a liaison between the General Manager and internal/external stakeholders ensuring effective communication and information flow.
Attend meetings on behalf of the General Manager take minutes and follow up on action items.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyse technical data and reports to provide insights and recommendations to the General Manager.
Prepare regular status reports and presentations on key engineering initiatives.
5. Research and Information Gathering:
Conduct research on industry trends competitors and emerging technologies to keep the General Manager informed and uptodate.
Collect and analyse data to support decisionmaking processes.
6. Travel Coordination:
Arrange travel itineraries accommodations and logistics for the General Manager as required.
7. Event Planning:
Assist in planning and organizing internal and external events conferences and meetings.
