Civil Structural Engineer - TD

To support a variety of projects in the energy sector our structural team is looking to expand its expertise by welcoming a Structural Engineer or CEP to contribute to our electrical substation projects within the Transmission & Distribution T&D market.

As a Structural Engineer you will participate in the design of various structures related to electrical substations playing a key role in largescale projects within this rapidly growing sector.

Primary Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of project managers take charge of specific aspects of projects related to substation structures including the design of equipment supports and foundations.
• Manage your project files including planning and administrative followups.
• Ensure quality control of projectrelated practices.
• Conduct studies and prepare technical reports and specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and drafters involved in the projects under your responsibility.
• Visit project sites and participate in construction site supervision (when required).
• Assist in the preparation of service proposals.
• In the medium term you will be encouraged to build and maintain client relationships and take on project management responsibilities with the support of a mentor.

Qualifications :

• University Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Member of lOrdre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ) or eligible for registration.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in structural design (primarily steel and concrete structures). Experience in substation or transmission line structure design is an asset.
• Knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAFI or SFrame (an asset).
• Familiarity with PLS software suite (PLSCADD PLSPOLE PLSTOWER) (an asset).
• Proficiency in French (spoken and written).
• Autonomy initiative and strong teamwork skills.
