Job Description
Rehoboth Beach Country Club is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counselors to support our summer Kids Camp Program for children ages 4 to 13. The position is seasonal and runs from June 6th to August 29th.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Camp Coordinator to ensure a safe engaging and fun experience for all campers. This role requires high energy a positive attitude and a passion for working with kids in a structured yet exciting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively engage with campers always ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Assist the Camp Coordinator in planning and leading a variety of recreational activities including sports arts & crafts outdoor games and teambuilding exercises.
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment where all campers feel welcome and encouraged to participate.
- Help facilitate daily camp routines including checkin/checkout procedures snack times and transitions between activities.
- Ensure proper use of camp equipment and maintain a clean and organized camp area.
- Act as a role model for campers by demonstrating respect teamwork and good sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with fellow counselors staff and parents when needed.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and appropriately following club safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience working with children in a camp recreational or educational setting is preferred.
- Highenergy outgoing personality with a passion for creating fun and engaging experiences.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of camp).
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Seasonal position with varying hours based on camp schedule.
- Must be available weekdays holidays and some weekends as needed.
