Job Description

Position: DOD Project Analyst
Location: Silver Spring MD or Frederick MD
Work Environment:Hybrid
Clearance Required:Public Trust
Status: Funded

Knowesis is currently seeking a Department of Defense (DOD) Project Analyst with experience supporting DOD programs for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Research and Engineering Directorate Science and Technology Enterprise Integration Division (STEID). The DOD Project Analyst will provide administrative operational and logistics support to the DHA STEID Operations & Analytics Branch and Science and Technology Portfolio Management Branch (STPMB) teams.

This hybrid position is in Silver Spring MD or Frederick MD.
This position requires a Public Trust and U.S. Citizenship (applicants without proof of US citizenship will not be considered due to the positions security clearance requirement).

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Administrative and Operational Support:

  • Manage daytoday office tasks to ensure smooth organizational functioning.
  • Schedule meetings create and distribute agendas facilitate virtual meetings take minutes and manage followup tasks.
  • Maintain branch and division records in SharePoint and Microsoft Teams in accordance with DOD policies.
  • Create and manage functional teams and channels in MS Teams including management edit and review of collaborative documents in PowerPoint Word and Excel.
  • Manage professional correspondence and calendars in MS Outlook.
  • Ensure compliance with DOD and DHA policies regulations and documentation standards.
  • Assist division personnel with official government travel policies and procedures including the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Develop and use standard operating procedures (SOPs) for administrative tasks.

    Logistics Support:
  • Coordinate and manage resources equipment and supplies for division and branch activities.
  • Handle inventory management and distribution of materials.
  • Set up and coordinate meeting spaces and audiovisual equipment.

    Collaborative Support:
  • Support management of taskers using the DHA enterprise software system.
  • Communicate and coordinate with government facility IT and communications teams.
  • Plan and execute conference planning and facilitation.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in performing administrative operational and logistics tasks in support of a Department of Defense organization.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience performing administrative operational and/or logistics tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism in a DOD environment including knowledge of military ranks and standards of communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams for managing calendars email communications and collaborative work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint for document organization and storage.
  • Proactive in anticipating and planning for future needs and tasks.
  • Resourceful and able to solve problems independently.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to organizational changes.
  • Highly organized with tasks documents and materials.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelors degree.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification(s) or similar.
