Job Description
As a Hospitalist Physician at Corewell Health West you will play a crucial role in providing highquality patient care. Youll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams manage acute and chronic medical conditions and contribute to the overall wellbeing of our patients.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Manage acute medical conditions including admissions discharges and rounding.
- The Hospitalists cover both Butterworth and Blodgett Hospitals.
- Coordinate care with specialists nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient safety quality and efficiency.
- Participate in hospital committees quality improvement initiatives and case reviews.
- Mentor medical residents and students fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Excellent schedule of 175 shifts per year consisting primarily of 7 on/7 off; weeks starting on Tuesdays.
- 7 paid jeopardy shifts scattered throughout the year reduces high census days.
- A dedicated team of 8 nocturnists allows the day shift physicians with little to no night shifts required.
- Census goal of 15 to 17 for rounding shifts.

- BE/BC Internal Medicine Residency
- License Michigan MD/DO
- Certification BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
