Senior Manager Supply Chain Management - Cairns MRO

• Manage the effective operation of the Supply Chain Logistics and stores function
• Provide effective people leadership & support specifically in the areas of recruitment training team building performance management and WHS by leading an engaged and high performing team
• Perform supply chain & logistics functions such as material procurement production planning inventory control outsourcing vendor selection and distribution
• Tooling management control in support to maintenance projects.
• Execute on integrated processes among internal functions (e.g. MRO and PMO operations purchasing & logistics) and outside suppliers
• Drive a continuous improvement and quality culture ensuring that employees collaborate effectively with other internal departments on streamlining processes systems and tools
• Review and monitor performance of local or global suppliers in accordance with contractual agreements
• Maintain a valid List of Approved Vendors
• Ensure smooth logistics flow such as receiving inspection storage issuing and shipping
• Negotiation for more beneficial agreements from suppliers
• Oversee and facilitate aircraft parts direct sale activities such as identify new customers formulate strategy and minor sale target
• Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers
• Analyse and report on stock and consignment status level to Finance Department
• Propose formulate and implement strategies and systematic processes with the objective to reduce old stock
• Review processes and strategies to assess supply chain & logistics effectiveness and introduce corrective processes accordingly
• Review OEM and manufacturer parts and supplies on product quality pricing and support
• Review and implement revisions to purchasing policy with the objectives of establishing clear and transparent purchasing procedures and standards
• Monitor freight service providers performances and negotiate on behalf of the company for better rates and terms of services
• Develop maintain and review preferred vendor list based on price product quality and service support and compliance
• Provide input on responses to Findings of internal and external audits to support the Cairns Base Management team on remedial actions against findings including Corrective & Preventative Action (CAPA) requirements
• Undertake regular selfaudits of supply chain & logistics Policies & Procedures including Local Area Procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of requirements
• Actively participate comply and promote Jet Aviation WHS Environmental programs and the Aviation Safety Management Systems including but not limited to JetSafe Reporting
• Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
• Drive a culture of trust honesty alignment transparency and performance in line with JET VALUES
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws aviation regulations and applicable General Dynamics and Jet Aviation policies
• Conduct business ethically according to GD Blue Book Regulations and applicable General Dynamics and Jet Aviation policies
• Undertake reasonable duties as assigned by the Cairns Base Operations Manager which are appropriate for the qualification and skill level

*Please not the annual salary is based on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for Jet Aviations Annual Bonus program which is subject to factors of performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification and/or Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management functions with at least 3 years in a supervisory position of managing teams
• Prior experience in Aerospace/Aviation industry preferred i.e MRO components control management
• Able to engage and build positive progressive and effective relationships with both internal and external customers
• Adopts a strong handson approach towards managing processes review and implementation
• Thorough knowledge of Purchasing and understanding of SCM
• Good understanding of commercial drivers in Supply Chain
• Experienced in application of management techniques operational management of mixedlevel teams and navigating in a matrix organisation
