Compensation: The Diesel Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.00 and $67.00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. Additionally this position may also pay a retention bonus of $1.75 per every booked hour.
As a Diesel Technician you must display thorough and proven knowledge of diesel and gas engine repair. You must also have a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail. It will also be a vital part of your role as a Diesel and Heavy line Technician to provide outstanding customer service and maintain effective working relationships with customers supervisors and coworkers.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
- Testdrive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are wellinformed of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- 2 years of Heavy Line and Diesel experience preferred
- Chrysler Dodge Ram jeep Certified Technician and Diesel Certified is Preferred
- Experience with gas and diesel engines
- ASE Certification preferred
- Alevel qualifications including Diagnostic Electrical and Engine Repair
- Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
- Ambitious hardworking presence in a team environment

- Basic computer skills
- Positive friendly attitude along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid drivers license and insurability by employers carrier
