GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Theorganizational vision of the Institute for Innovations in Imaging (I3 is tofacilitate the translation of novel diagnostic and devices from thepreclinical stage to clinical evaluation and ultimate adoption. The I3 ProjectManager supports the development of diagnostic and devices frompreclinical stage through regulatory approval and into early phase clinicaltrials. The incumbent is responsible formanaging relationships and projects with internal I3 clients and withindustrial partners. The incumbent willimplement a project management framework and be responsible for the generationof standard operating procedures; the incumbent will work with technical staffmembers that he/she will hire to create and maintain these SOPs. The incumbent works directly withinvestigators clinicians regulatory associates and other lab personnel. The Project Manager will report directly tothe CoDirectors of the I3.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsiblefor training all individuals on the team and to ensure that projects arecompleted in a timely fashion.
Mustinterface with Principal Investigators other Project Managers and ResearchFellows to collaborate in various projects.
Engageswith industrial contacts and manage collaborations.
Createsreports and presentations for internal presentation for scientificpublications and conferences
Preparesfinal reports of sponsored research deliverable to the sponsoring company.
Responsiblefor the assembly of regulatory documents for submission to FDA
Liaiseswith related institutes and programs within the Partners and Harvard MedicalSchool umbrella
Responsibleto develop and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) that the team willperform as well as the equipment on which it is done.
Purchaseshardware and software for computer systems
Attendstraining courses as identified
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Strongwriting skills as the job requires writing and revising protocols reportingresearch results and creating scientific presentations.
Proficiencywith computer programs specifically MS Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint)and project management software is a must.
Becomfortable both in a leadership position and in a group: as a leader theProject Manager must be able to motivate his or her group to work cohesively asa team and also sensitive to individual idiosyncrasies to ensure both acomfortable and productive working environment; in a group the Candidate mustbe able to work effectively under the leadership of a peer.
Required: 4 5 yearsof experience
Preferred: 3 4 years of experience in project management
Backgroundin drug or device development
Someknowledge of the drug and/or device regulatory pathways
