Job Description
Kahills Chophouseis one of the finest restaurants in the Midwest and strives to provide worldclass service to each guest. We are looking for a Full Time Restaurant Host to join our team. If you have a passion for creating great experiences for customers and want to be a part of an excellent team then we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Manage reservations and room service orders
- Welcome guests to the venue
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Ensure that guests are seated and receive attentive service
- Give guests menus and answer their questions
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend dairy and sugar ratios)
- Assist in serving beverages
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the area clean
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
As thehostyou are the first and last person the guest sees so make it memorable!
Requirements and skills
- Previous work experience as a Host/Barista or Waiter/Waitress preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts if needed
- Good math skills
- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
