Job Overview:
The responsibility of a UI (User Interface) designer is to create visually appealing and userfriendly interfaces for digital products or applications. UI designers play a crucial role in ensuring that users have a positive and intuitive experience while interacting with the software website or mobile application.
Key responsibilities of a UX designer:
- User Research: Conduct user research including surveys interviews and usability testing to gain insights into user behaviour needs and pain points.
- User Interface Design: Designing the overall look and feel of the user interface focusing on creating visually appealing layouts colour schemes typography and iconography.
- Interaction Design: Design intuitive and userfriendly user interfaces (UI) and interactions.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Creating wireframes and interactive prototypes to demonstrate the layout and functionality of the interface to the PO and development teams.
- Information Architecture: Organizing and structuring the user interface to ensure easy navigation and access to key features and information.
- Usability Testing: Conducting usability tests to gather feedback from users and iterate on the design to improve user experience.
- Responsive Design: Ensuring that the interface design is responsive and adaptable to different screen sizes and devices.
- Style Guides and Design Systems: Creating and maintaining style guides and design systems to establish design standards and promote consistency throughout the product.
- Stay Current with Design Trends: Keeping uptodate with the latest design trends tools and best practices to continuously improve design skills and techniques.
- Iterative Design: Embracing an iterative design process to gather feedback make improvements and refine the interface based on user insights.
Qualifications:
- Formal qualification in Graphic Design or related field.
- Any technical qualifications in terms of frontend frameworks will be an advantage
Experience:
- Proven experience in UX design through internships coursework or personal projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator XD) or similar tools.
- Familiarity with design prototyping tools like Sketch Figma or InVision.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of UX principles and usercentred design methodologies.
- Strong visual design skills including an eye for colour layout and typography.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work within brand guidelines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- A passion for creativity and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
