Systems Engineer

Position Description:

CGI Federal is actively seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Systems Engineering you will be contribute to the design development testing and implementation of a largescale project utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Java Angular and other modern cloudnative technologies. You will work closely with other engineers to ensure the successful delivery of highquality solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
This position is located in our Fairfax VA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Contribute to the design development testing deployment and operations of complex systems and applications on the Google Cloud platform.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including software developers architects and project managers to define project requirements and deliverables.
Ensure that all engineering activities align with project timelines budgets and quality standards.
Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
Identify project risks and issues implementing mitigation strategies and corrective actions as needed and escalating where necessary
Able to document policy and procedures.

Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field
810 years experience as a Systems Engineer preferably within a large and complex project environment.
Strong expertise in GCP and Java technologies.
Demonstrated experience in designing developing and deploying largescale systems and applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities with a focus on delivering highquality solutions.
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.
Desired qualifications/nonessential skills required:
Masters degree is in a relevant field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for meritbased performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78400.00 $169700.00.
