Product and Supply Supervisor

Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat ontrend food concepts and readyformarket convenience foods.

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfilhas combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers counters to branded packaged meat all as part of our service; raised on open pastures sourced from local farmers and handselected by our master butchers we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

This position is 4 days on 4 days off.

6am 6:30pm 2 x 40 minute breaks.

Responsible for supporting Team Leaders in Product staging Hygiene and Retail Offal to achieve area output targets through effective performance. Regularly review core metric targets for safety quality people delivery and cost and agree actions to address any missed targets. Engage and challenge support functions to facilitate the achievement of area targets. Take responsibility for the broader strategic targets of the function within your allocated areas.

• Help CPM Team Leaders to reduce and eliminate inefficiency on their lines. Build a trend analysis to identify the biggest causes of downtime by line and to prioritise action working alongside the area Supervisors and Shift Managers.
• Supporting team leaders to identify opportunities to improve quality at no additional cost.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Encourage learning and development of a high performance team.
• Carry out 4 and 12 week reviews with new staff.
• Engage support functions in the ambitions of the department and the role they provide in achieving them.
• Understand the costs related to area and department performance including yield and margin.

Knowledge skills and experience. :

• Significant knowledge and experience of Warehouse control and function processing and operations are essential.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to multitask and work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines
• Ambition to grow personally and within the business.
• Understanding of retail packing and manufacturing
• Ability to manage and lead a team
• Be a role model for all staff.
