About the Job
Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new Connect platform a unified global open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQs data and insights to innovate and grow. Feeding data into the Connect platform are also a set of large scale applications that process millions of records of data every day.
As a Engineer youll be part of a team of smart highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cuttingedge technologies. Right now the platform for which we are hiring is based in Java ExtJS (Sencha) Angular Spring Boot Tom Cat Oracle Elastic Search Mongo Azure Cloud and we continue to adopt the best of breed in cloudnative lowlatency technologies. We value CI/CD in everything that we develop. Our team is colocated and agile with central technology hubs in Chicago Madrid Toronto and Chennai.
What youll do
- Write code to develop scalable flexible applications
- Ensure the maintainability and quality of code
- Develop secure and highly performant services and APIs
- Proactively identify and suggest improvements / new technologies that can improve the platform in terms of speed quality and cost
Qualifications :
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3 to 12 years of software development experience
- Strong knowledge of data structures algorithms and designing for performance scalability and availability
- Good knowledge and experience on Java Spark Scala Angular
- Good knowledge and experience with SQL Parquet Hive
- Good experience in designing and building multithreaded distributed systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
