Job Description
Lieu : Herstal Belgium
Mission:
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a set of projects in accordance with the strategy defined
- Define strategic portfolio plan
- Manage a set of R&D projects (both SelfFunded and Customer Funded ones) relying on different project managers
- Align projects to strategic objectives
- based on clear project objectives define initial project baselines in cooperation with project managers
- Ensure that the objectives of the different projects are aligned with the strategy at any time
- Identify potential bottleneck and set priorities as required
- Review financial figures (actuals and estimated to complete) of each project individually on a monthly basis with corresponding project manager and put them in perspective with the progress based on the Earn Valued Management methodology.
- Consolidate the project portfolios financial figures
- Identify any lack of resources (quantity or skill) to achieve project portfolio objectives and suggest appropriate actions
- Manage risks and opportunities at project portfolio level
- Define appropriate key performance indicators and carry out the corresponding reporting to the management
Profile:
Required level of studies and experience
- Master degree in Engineering or Business administration with at least 10 years experience in project/portfolio management in a hightech environment.
- An experience working for an international company;
- Project or Portfolio management certification such as PMP or IPMA is clearly an asset;
Knowledge and skills
- You are a true leader;
- You are business oriented proactive and autonomous;
- You have excellent communication skills;
- You like to analyze figures and you are particularly familiar with financial data;
- You are able to think out of the box;
- You have strong spoken and written communication skills;
- You are able to work inside matrix teams and you are a real teamplayer;
- You always challenge yourself in order to bring new ideas and new skills in your daytoday job;
- You are fluent in French and English (oral and written communication);
The defense sectors knowledge will be considered as a major asset.
