Salary: Inner London Main/Upper Pay Scale TLR2c

An outstanding secondary school with a thriving sixth form is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Head of Economics to lead and develop a highachieving department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to take on a leadership role in a school with a strong academic reputation and a commitment to excellence.
Economics is one of the most popular ALevel subjects with a significant number of students progressing to top universities. The department follows the Edexcel exam board and collaborates closely with partner schools to share best practices organise joint events and provide highquality teaching. In 2024 83 of students achieved A*B grades reflecting the departments strong track record of success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the continued development of the subject leading curriculum design and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. They will also play a key role in mentoring staff overseeing student progress and enhancing extracurricular opportunities such as trips lectures and research projects.
