The Racine Police Department serves the City of Racine in Southeastern Wisconsin with a population of 77816 people. We are a department that has adopted the philosophy of Community Orientated Policing and is a recognized leader in this area. Our Mission is to Protect Life and Property Promote Community Partnerships Build Trust and Serve with Honor.Under the direction of the Records Specialist assist in the control of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at an assigned location for a prescribed period of time to ensure the safety of schoolchildren and the safe orderly flow of vehicular traffic. These parttime duties are performed during the school year from late August to early June. Crossing Guards work under the general supervision of the Records Specialist.
Relief Crossing Guards must be able to report to work with very little notice to substitute for regular Crossing Guards there is no guarantee of hours and shifts may vary.
