You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailMission or Goal of Unit: The VCU Department of Family Medicine and Population Health exists to: Chief Purpose of this position:The Department of Family Medicine and Population Health at Virginia Commonwealth University is currently recruiting for a fulltime Board Certified Family Medicine Physician for our Hayes E. Willis Health Center located in Richmond Virginia. Experience working with medically underserved communities teaching and expertise in areas of care such as opioid use disorder/substance use disorder transgender care and procedural care is preferred. Start date of provider estimated to be approximately three months from time of offer with a competitive salary and generous benefit package as well as the ability to earn clinical bonuses. The Physician in this position will be involved in medical student and resident teaching and will have the opportunity to be involved in Departmental research programs. Must be BC/BE in Family Medicine and be eligible for staff privileges at MCV Hospitals although no inpatient work is required (strictly outpatient care. This position expands patient access to primary care in a medically underserved community. This role also meets a critical teaching need in support of our Departments overall mission; serving as a clinical practice site for future residents. Our Department houses all of our family medicine medical student education programs including a highly rated clerkship and two longitudinal fouryear track programs. We also have four affiliated family medicine residency programs at various locations around the Commonwealth of Virginia.
