We are looking for a Suppression System Installation & Repair Technician to join our team!

Hourly pay ranges from $22$26 depending on skills and years of experience.
In this role you will:
Repair install and service preengineered fire suppression systems
Maintain and repair all types of fire extinguishers to assigned existing customer locations.
Perform inspection testing service and repairs as required for all types of fire extinguishers as mandated by: standards and codes manufactures requirements and expectations and requirements of the company
Promote sell and secure new business and fire extinguisher training classes
Troubleshoot and perform service and repair of fire extinguishers and preengineered fire suppression systems.
Record and document all inspections repairs discrepancies and recommendations
Survey facilities for fire and safety needs and reference any requirements needed
Teach fire extinguisher training classes
Provide and maintain excellent customer service.
Demonstrate products and/or services and assist customer in selecting those that best fit their needs.
Stay current with technical aspects of job by reading technical manuals bulletins product brochures etc.
Sometime may be spent performing duties of the Fire Extinguisher Technician. See Fire Extinguisher Technician job description.
Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Selfmotivated and able to work independently.
Requirements:
1 year experience in the Fire Protection industry or other related industries such as construction electronics or sales distribution.
High school diploma or equivalent.
ICC/NAFED Fire Extinguishers Certification
Must obtain the restaurant ICC certification before independently inspecting and servicing suppression systems. (within 120 days of hire)
Must be available for weekend and afterhours work; some overtime and occasional overnight travel may be required.
Must have valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Working knowledge of NFPA 17 17a and 96 (preferred).
Working knowledge of NFPA #10 Standards Servicing Guidelines and local AHJ requirements (preferred).
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
May frequently lift carry and handle up to 50 pounds; occasionally move/lift (with assistance or lifting device) 110 pounds.
Must be able to climb and work on ladders at any height bearing weight and go up and down stairs.
Must be able to consistently reach handle feel and hear. Frequently required to lift carry stand walk twist talk and bend.
Occasionally required to sit balance climb stoop kneel crouch crawl use of fingers. Able to dial hear and respond to telephone calls and inquiries as necessary.
