This position will be responsible for designing implementing fully testing and managing our companys network infrastructure.
This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture strong problemsolving skills and the ability to lead a team of network engineers ranging in experience and expertise. Leadership will be required in areas including prioritization escalations highprofile troubleshooting and crossteam collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network design security and performance optimization.
What Youll Do
- Design and implement network solutions to meet crossfunctional business requirements.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure including wireless access points routers switches firewalls and other network devices.
- Advise a team of network engineers providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for network configurations processes and procedures.
What Youll Need
- Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering.
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or other related field required.
- Certifications Preferred: CCNP CCIE etc.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols routing and switching.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Superior troubleshooting and investigatory skills with a strong sense of urgency in highprofile outage situations.
- Indepth knowledge of Cisco IOS NXOS BGP OSPF EIGRP MPLS VXLAN FCOE and FC environments.
- Ability to implement & deliver complex technical projects within a defined schedule covering LAN WAN Wireless 4/5G SDWAN VPNs NAC and Zero Trust.
- Handson experience with Cisco Meraki and other core networking hardware.
- Expertise in network security including firewalls VPNs and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Proficiency in network performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g. AWS Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
- Experience with network security technologies and best practices.
