Job Description
McHale Landscape Design is searching for the next great Lead Carpenter for our Construction Division supporting our Landscape DesignBuild teams. As a Lead Carpenter you will play a crucial role in overseeing and working on various designbuild projects around the Annapolis/Eastern Shore Region and ensuring their successful completion. McHale Landscape Design is a residential landscape architecture company and designbuild firm dedicated to designing and constructing extraordinary residential gardens pools outdoor living areas and home additions. Since 1981 the firm has designed constructed and planted residential projects throughout D.C. Maryland and Virginia including more than 300 awardwinning landscapes.
What a Lead Carpenter does:
- Perform various carpentry tasks such as framing door hanging flooring installation siding fine trim and other custom woodwork
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications
- Support the management of construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other construction workers
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards
- Manage project timelines
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
You will be a great fit if you have:
- 5 or more years of experience in a lead carpenter role
- Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Professional and proficient communication skills bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
- Proven ability to successfully work in a fastpaced environment
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Able to work occasional Saturdays if needed
