Job Description

HIRING MANAGER: Joseph Kapraun

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for Learning and Conducting All Aspects of Operations

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Reports to Operations Manager while taking direction from company leadership

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Communicates effectively with fellow operations employees to achieve shared goals.

Shows utmost respect for customers when interaction is needed during harvest and in the community.

Conducts all operations in a safe and conscientious manner while following company procedures.

Maintains company equipment including but not limited to legs conveyors and machinery.

Carries out all tasks related to receiving shipping and handling grain including operating the companys grain dryers.

Monitors and keeps all grain in condition through regular inspections of bins and outbound grain while reporting any information to the necessary supervisor.

Ensures company property and grounds are maintained with the utmost care.

Reports all information essential to operations to the Operations Manager Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager when needed.

Complies with housekeeping standards while making sure to fill out appropriate documentation including safety records such as bin entry hot work and confined space permits.

Ensures regulatory compliance with appropriate agencies.

Performs all other duties as assigned

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows Heritage Grains Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program Environmental Health and Safety OSHA and DOT policies and procedures as they apply

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a background in grain handling and mechanics

Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record or be working towards that end

Must be willing to work extended hours beyond those considered normal

Occasionally lift 21100 lbs

Performs work in extreme weather conditions (hot cold wet etc.

Performs duties around noisy conditions

Working conditions may include dust and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Heritage Grains policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position

Benefit package:


Start Date:
1. 100 of family health insurance premium
2. 100 of life insurance premium for employee 2x yearly salary.
3. 9 paid holidays reference Employee Handbook
4. 6 sick days day for each month worked until May 1st.

Effective after 1st year worked:
5. Eligibility for bonus based upon company profitability.
6. Employee can contribute into FSA (Flex Spending Account) acct with TASC. This is before tax contribution used for approved medical expenses and has a set limit of $2750 by Federal Government.
7. 2 weeks vacation: prorated for first year. 7.5 hrs/per month worked

Effective Jan 1st after 1st year worked
1. Retirement contribution of 910 gross wages into GFAI 401K. Employee can contribute of pay in addition to companys contribution.
