AboutANGLE:
ANGLE is a worldleading liquid biopsy company commercialising a patentprotected platform technology that can capture rare circulating tumour cells(CTCs) from blood in a minimally invasive way for downstream analysis.
ANGLEs Parsortix system is FDA cleared for its intended use inmetastatic breast cancer and is currently the first and only FDA clearedmedical device to harvest intact circulating cancer cells from blood. Parsortixtechnology comprises a microfluidic device that captures CTCs from blood basedon their size and compressibility. CTCs are cancer cells that have detachedfrom the primary tumour and entered the blood circulation and they play acritical role in initiating metastasis.Once harvested the CTCs can be comprehensively analysed to provide awealth of information about the patients tumour advancing cancer research andpotentially personalized medicine. This technology has the potential to deliverprofound improvements in clinical and health economic outcomes.
ANGLE has established a CTC harvest and analysis service from ourUKbased Clinical Laboratory based in Guildford for customers worldwide. In alignment with company priorities we planto rapidly expand our services to include molecular profiling of CTCs and ctDNAusing digital PCR and NGS to add to our imagebased assays.

This is an exciting time at ANGLE and ourteam inGuildfordarelooking for aScientist I Molecular. The Molecular Scientist I contributes to themanagement of the laboratory and development of clinical diagnostic products.The job is laboratory based working in a multidisciplinary team.

Principal Accountabilities:
Handson laboratorywork primarily in the area of Molecular Biology.
Provide scientific andtechnical support to programmes and projects.
Responsible forontime and onbudget delivery of work packages within a project includingtimely reporting of progress on projects and on metrics to monitor and mitigaterisk and to ensure product deadlines are met.
Responsible forquality and regulatory compliance of work undertaken.
Independently keep acurrent knowledge base in relevant areas of scientific and technical research.
Manage the day to dayrunning of assigned development projects within the Quality Management System(ISO13485;
Undertake additionalad hoc / project work as required.
QualificationsExperience Knowledge and Attributes:
Masters in LifeSciences with at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience or equivalentin molecular biology preferably gained in the in vitro diagnostics industry indiagnostic assay development/validation;
Demonstrated expertiseand handson competency in dPCR qPCR and/or NGS;
Experience working tostrict quality standards such as Medical Device regulations and standardsincluding but not limited to 21 CFR 820 ISO/42/EEC IVD 98/79 ECISO14971 GMP GLP QSR. A strong understanding of the importance of accurate recordkeeping within a strictly controlled quality system is essential;
Organisational skillsand the ability to rapidly prioritise tasks in response to unexpectedopportunities or risks;
Manage and deliverproduct development projects to agreed performance specifications on time andwithin budget;
Job Requirements:
Due to the nature of the role our requirement is for thisposition to be Guildford based 5 days per week.
