Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Technician
*Signing Bonus $1500.00 2 years experience
LOCATION: Aurora Colorado
OPENINGS: 1 Available
TYPE: FullTime (MondayFriday Dayshift)
COMPENSATION: $25.00$36.00/hour; based on experience

SUMMARY:
The Heavy Equipment Technician position requires a strong mechanical aptitude. Our team of technicians service; including repair install and maintain a variety of pieces of heavy equipment including hydrovacs vac trucks street sweeper refuse and recycling equipment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment failures and perform hydraulic electrical and mechanical repairs on various types of equipment
- Perform diagnostics to determine repairs required
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance
- Communicate effectively with the Parts & Service teams on job progress and status changes
- Update work order system
- Maintain organized and safe work area shop tools and service vans

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not required
- Valid CDL drivers license (or ability to obtain a CDL) and a clean drivers abstract
- Must be able to pass a preemployment background check
- 3 years experience working in a mechanic / technician role
- Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work
SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees must:
- Work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation/regulations/safety policies
- Report any known workplace hazard or safety violations
- Cooperate with their workplaces Safety Committee or health and safety representative
- Use any safety equipment protective devices or clothing required
- Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulations.

- Shop Warehouse Yard environment
- Frequent exposure to noise dust and dirt
Physical Demand:
- Frequently required to lift and move moderately heavy objects 50lbs)
- Frequently standing and walking
