Job Description

The Koch Associate Program (KAP) is a career accelerator for early to midcareer professionals with a drive to tackle our countrys most pressing challenges in more effective principled ways. Associates spend one day each week engaging in experiential learning with Stand Together Fellowships and work at one of our many partner organizations the rest of the week. Our curriculum is designed to supercharge your development and equip you for longterm success as you seek to have an impact on the problems that prevent people from realizing their potential.

Overview

The American Statecraft Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace seeks a Koch Associates Program (KAP) fellow for a fulltime Research and Media Support analyst.

The candidate should have expertise in U.S. foreign policy and an interest in furthering the American Statecrafts vision for realistic and restrained policies that are cleareyed about the competitive global environment and anchored in the security and wellbeing of American citizens at home.

Responsibilities

The analyst will provide substantive research support for the production of the event and podcast series Pivotal States. In this capacity he or she will work closely with the Carnegie Endowments communications department and other members of the program research team.To support the podcast and event series this position primarily involves substantive expertise in U.S. foreign policy topics and research as opposed to technical expertise in editing podcast content. In addition to these responsibilities the analyst will assist the programs scholars in conducting research for book projects policy reports commentary lectures and briefings.

The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge of U.S. foreign policy and the American Statecraft programs work.
Some familiarity with podcasts including some prior experience in developing events.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Experience conducting research.
Collegiality and passion for the work and vision of the Program.
A BA or MA degree in relevant fields such as communication or international affairs from a leading college or university.
