Job Description
Position Overview
The general function of this position is to operate the chemical process within the assigned area in a safe and efficient manner to produce a highquality product. 12hour rotating shifts to include nights and weekend. Responsible for ensuring the operation of the plant is accomplished in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all Safety Health and Environmental Policy. Fulltime starting hourly pay rate is $30.76. Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Offload hazardous chemicals
- Read and comprehend standard operating procedures and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Understand the process flow and production requirements for the area assigned.
- Complete the necessary training and maintain refresher hours as required.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Perform general housekeeping to include sweeping and shoveling.
- Forklift operations
- Work 12hour rotating shifts to include nights and weekend.
- Work overtime coverage as required based on plant and shift needs.
- Write notifications and complete work orders in SAP.
- Data entry and tracking using Microsoft Excel
- Communicate effectively to exchange information and ensure accuracy neatness and thoroughness in work.
- Consistently apply and use Outward Mindset Principles and Tools
Physical Requirements
- Must have no facial hair that interferes with the sealing surface of a respirator which would include hair below the top lip (such as beards goatees or excessive sideburns).
- Constantly ascending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding ramps etc. and moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
- Frequently remain stationary for prolonged periods standing and sitting.
- Regularly perform repetitive motions involving hands and wrists and operating machinery tools vehicles and heavy equipment
- Constantly work in varied environments that may include extreme weather conditions (hot cold and rainy weather) elevated noisy areas poor ventilation confined and tight spaces.
- Constantly lift move and adjust objects weighing at least 55 pounds or more.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must have experience with basic MS Office applications data entry and/or general computer skills.
- Gold or above on the ACT Work Keys Assessment preferred.
- 3 years industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
- Manufacturing Basic Skills Certification preferred.
- Forklift operating experience preferred.
- Internal candidates must havea MX or above on most recent evaluation and no active corrective action documentation

Located on approximately 3000 acres of beautiful landscape in Northeast Mississippi the Hamilton facility is Tronoxs largest titanium dioxide manufacturing facility operation for more than 60 years the plant continues to stand the test of time by continuously growing and developing new technologies and strategies.
