You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) and University of Washington (UW) are recruiting for a fulltime 100 FTE) staff physician based at the VA Puget Sound with a faculty appointment as either an Assistant Associate or Professor (without tenure due to funding) in the Division of Rheumatology Department of Medicine. Salary and academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience qualifications and academic rank.
Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multiyear appointments and Associate and Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30. Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune).
Expertise in clinical rheumatology and 12 months of teaching experience is required. The successful applicant will have the opportunity for clinical and academic activities in a variety of rheumatological diseases.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research and service. This position will have both inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities at the VA Puget Sound and will work with and teach trainees in these settings. Participation in the divisions educational activities is also included.

This position is paid directly by the Veterans Administration Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) and receives no UW compensation. Please refer to the VAPSHCS for information about compensation for this position.
Requirements include an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) eligibility for medical licensure in Washington State and Board Eligibility or Certification in Rheumatology (or foreign equivalent).
Applicants must be U.S. Citizens (permanent residents may be appointed only if it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens).
